SMEs use e-commerce to promote GDP growth

The "China SME E-Commerce Development Report (2009)" released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the new value created by China's SMEs through e-commerce in 2009 accounted for 1.5% of China's GDP, driving China's GDP growth by 0.13%.

In addition to the pull of GDP, the contribution of SMEs to domestic trade and international trade is also very prominent. In 2009, the scale of e-commerce for SMEs will reach 1.99 trillion yuan, an increase of about 20% year-on-year. The domestic and foreign trade scales are 1.13 trillion yuan and 0.86 trillion yuan, respectively, equivalent to the total domestic sales of goods and exports in 2008. 6% and 8.9% of the total value.

In addition, SMEs directly created more than 1.3 million new jobs through e-commerce, which is equivalent to 11.7% of new jobs in urban areas in 2008. For every 1% increase in the use of e-commerce, SMEs can bring 40,000 new jobs.

Zheng Wei, deputy director of the SMEs Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the survey shows that the application level of e-commerce for different types of SMEs is very different, the effect in the marketing process is obvious, and the application level of e-commerce for medium and small enterprises is high. In micro-enterprises, the application level of foreign trade enterprises is higher than that of domestic trade enterprises, and the proportion of production-oriented enterprises that are skilled in using e-commerce is higher than that of wholesale and retail-type enterprises. In the financing link, SMEs are solved through e-commerce through network guarantee and credit loans. Financing guarantees have achieved remarkable results.

However, Zheng Wei pointed out that the integrity system is imperfect, the e-commerce talents are scarce, and the supporting systems such as logistics and certification cannot meet the e-commerce needs, which are the main factors restricting the development of e-commerce. "Clarify the positioning of e-commerce service industry, implement various tax preferential policies, support the construction of e-commerce support system for small and medium-sized enterprises such as logistics, payment, credit, solve the problems in the development of e-commerce for SMEs, and promote the development of e-commerce for SMEs. An effective way," Zheng said.
