Export clothing should correctly identify fiber components

Recently, when a certain inspection and quarantine bureau conducted inspection on a batch of export garments, it found that the fiber composition printed on its packaging bag was 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The actual fiber composition of the batch of garments was 100% polyester, and the identification of the fiber components on the packaging was inconsistent with reality. Under the supervision of the Bureau, the company negotiated with foreign merchants and replaced all bags with qualified contents, thus avoiding trade risks. At present, the shipment has been successfully exported.

A total of 45,000 sets of garments were exported, valued at US$113,000, and the identification content was designated by the customer.

Product identification is the product's "identity card," which is different from other products, making quality commitments, indicating product origin, characteristics, security, use, warning and other five major functions. Here, the inspection and quarantine department reminds export garment companies that the product fiber identification is an important component of product quality, and its content should be given full attention to ensure that the content of the label is consistent with the product itself, and the correct classification of fiber types and content ratios.
