Silk City Shengze Textile Industry Accelerates Transformation and Development by "Dongfeng"

The two-day China-ASEAN Textile and Apparel Development Seminar and the ASEAN Tourism and Shopping Festival opened yesterday at Shengze Oriental Textile City. More than 100 experts, chambers of commerce and entrepreneurs from the China-ASEAN textile and apparel sector were invited to attend. The activity aims to tap the market demand of the industry, build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between China-ASEAN textile and garment enterprises, and jointly promote the trade and long-term cooperation between China and ASEAN.

ASEAN is the abbreviation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The existing members are Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. The total population is over 600 million and the total economic output is 2.6 trillion US dollars. Shengze, “Sunrise Wan Silk, Clothes by the World”, is known as one of the four major silk cities in China. The town has the most complete textile industry chain and related services, is the region with the highest concentration of the world's textile industry, China's largest production base of silk fabrics and chemical fiber, textile fabric industry in China and export base of the original estate.

"China and ASEAN have a long and profound friendship. The Maritime Silk Road opened more than 2,000 years ago has promoted the common development of countries along the route." Fan Jianglong, member of the Standing Committee of Wujiang District Committee and Party Secretary of Shengze Town, said that the event is in line with the country. The "One Belt, One Road " strategy requires a deeper attempt to deepen the opening and cooperation of the Wujiang region. Shengze hopes to use this as a starting point and link to connect ASEAN countries and countries along the “Belt and Road” to build a bridge of friendship, a bridge of cooperation and a bridge for development, so that more associations and productions of the textile and garment industry in ASEAN countries will be produced. At the opening ceremony, Shengze Dongfang Textile City, as the world's largest professional textile market, signed a contract with the city's tourism strategy, and held the first launch of the Shengze Dongfangcheng Tourism Bus and the “China Youth Travel Silk Culture Tourism Cooperation Base”. Shengzedong Textile City settled in Hong Kong. The opening ceremony of the Fu Group was unveiled. On the afternoon of the same day, Shengzedong Textile City also held the China-ASEAN Textile and Apparel Development Seminar and Fabrics Purchase Matchmaking Conference.
