Recently, the Textile Industry Office of Hunan Province, commissioned by the Hunan Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission, held an expert appraisal meeting in Changsha. The event focused on two new products developed by Yuanjiang Star Linen Co., Ltd.: "ramie stainless steel fiber blended grinding cloth" and "pure ramie ecological underwear knitted fabric." An expert panel was assembled to evaluate these innovative textile products.
During the meeting, the experts carefully reviewed the development reports and experimental data provided by the project team. They also examined the physical samples of the new products in detail. After thorough discussions, the expert committee unanimously approved both products, recognizing their technological innovation and market potential.
Regarding the "ramie stainless steel fiber blended grinding cloth," the product combines ramie bio-degumming fine dry fibers with stainless steel metal fibers. Both the warp and weft of the fabric contain evenly distributed stainless steel fibers, giving it excellent wear resistance and making it ideal for abrasive applications. This product fills a significant gap in the domestic market and is considered to be at the leading edge of national technology.
As for the "pure ramie ecological underwear knitted fabric," it uses high-quality early-harvest ramie varieties. Through advanced degumming and fine linen cutting techniques, the company produced 48-count pure ramie yarn using long linen spinning equipment. The fabric was then knitted on large circular knitting machines, resulting in a soft, eco-friendly material suitable for undergarments.
Both products have been tested by the Hunan Fiber Inspection Bureau and meet the requirements of FE/T 33002-2003 for "ramie plain cloth," GB18401-2003 for "Safety Technical Specification for Textile Products," and GB/T 22848-2009 for "knitted finished cloth."
