Thailand's U.S. cotton imports fell to a minimum of 4 years in November

In November, Thailand’s cotton imports were only 35,300 tons, down 1.9% year-on-year, of which imports of US cotton were only 0.53 million tons, the lowest in the same period in the past four years.

In the first four months of this year, Thailand imported 25,800 tons of US cotton, a decrease of 47% year-on-year, significantly lower than the imports of Australian cotton (40,300 tons), and only accounting for 20.1% of Thailand's cotton imports. The estimated 2010/11 annual US Cotton's market share in Thailand's cotton imports will further decrease, possibly reaching the lowest level in 10 years.
